Yuchai Hybrid Powers Guangzhou Asian Games

www.chinabuses.org: It is dedicated to making the 16th Asian Games "Low-carbon and Green Games" in Guangzhou. For this objective, Yuchai gas-electric hybrid power system YCHPT (energy-saving 25%-30% than conventional engine) is created and low-carbon fuel LPG is applied for engine (over 15% carbon dioxide emission efficiency over fuel). Both comply with the requirements by public transport companies and transport committee in the local area. Also Yuchai is the only supplier for gas-electric hybrid power system for GAGC.
Currently, the new buses equipped with YCHPT have been delivered to the public transport companies in Guangzhou for actual operation in No.136, 185 and 284 routes and will be used for the transport among Asian Games Town and various competition venues.
There will be 114 gas-electric hybrid power new buses will be used before the Games, which are all equipped with YCHPT system, 84 units debugging and 38 units in practical operation at present. And drivers reflected that the new buses own strong power, smooth shift and good economy.
