www.chinabuses.org: The first awarding ceremony of Shandong Governor Quality Award was held in Jinan on December 29, 2009. And Weichai Power won the Governor Quality Prize, and board of director Tan Xuguang received the prize from Jiang Daming, Governor of Shandong province. And Weichai Power became the only listed enterprise in Weifang.

The annual Shandong Governor Quality Award, including Shandong Quality Management Award and Shandong Quality Contribution Award, was set by Shandong provincial government since 2009.

Shandong Quality Management Award is to confer no more than ten enterprises in manufacturing, constructing industry and service trade; while Shandong Quality Contribution Award is to confer no more than five personals in quality education, and development and research on quality.

Weichai Power won national quality prize as early as 2007; and this time, they initialed preparations since July 2009, and finally their quality management won appreciations by experts.
