Light-duty Engines Contend in National III Times

Light-duty commercial vehicles below 3.5 ton National III standard was implemented on July 1, 2008. Though core technology and parts&components deficit, petroleum suitability, service guarantee and other reasons are barriers to commercial vehicles,which make them hard to match National III standard,however,it’s no doubt that it’s National III times now,and competion will be fiercer.
Dachai CA4DC
Low violation, low noise, but needs more maintenance
Technology content: The CA4DC diesel engine is based on Deutz FAW Dachai CA498 diesel engine, adopts BOSCH electrically controlled common rail system and the K coefficient oil atomizer, saves more diesel compared with domestic similar type diesel engines,and it’s in accordance with CKD optimization low-speed characteristic.

Yuchai YC4F
Quality guarantee, high cost.
Technology content: The YC4F engine is jointly designed by Yuchai and German FEV and the Japanese YAMAHA ,adopts many modern diesel engine scientific research technology achievements. National Ⅲengine adopts American DELPHI electrically controlled high pressure common rail technology, low turbulent flow combustion chamber and many other modern diesel engine technology achievements. At the same time, because it is designed and developed according to National III emission standard,and takes National III and National IV upgrading into consideration ,so it has upgrading potential .
Because Yuchai has carried out massive reliable and compatible development according to the German FEV Corporation machinery development procedure, it is said that the guarantee distance under the maintenance is more than 500,000 kilometers, in view of the fact that YC4F uses the wet cylinder sleeve structure, four cylinder covers make one cylinder cover, with good accessibility, easy to maintenance.
