A CNG Engine R & D Base Will be built in Chongqing

Chongqing Public Bus Group Co, .Ltd, Chongqing Hengtong Bus Co., Ltd and Saic Fiat Powertrain Hongyan (hereinafter shorted as Shangfeihong) achieve strategic cooperation on the development of energy-saving and new energy buses on May 13, 2009. Shangfeihong provides the world's leading series of NEF engines with advanced power system for future new energy buses in Chongqing. And Chongqing will become an important R & D base for CNG engine technology.
The reporter also learned at the same time, Shangfeihong, which is the largest diesel engine manufacturers in China, its engine project will be completed in the northern part of the new district by 22of this month. The project covers an area of 270,000 square meters, with an annual production capacity of 200,000 sets of diesel engines, in addition to the supply of Hongyan, 100.000 sets will be exported.
