www.chinabuses.org: On April 16, a devastating earthquake measuring 7.8 richter scale hit Ecuador. Immediately after the disaster, Zhongtong took up the urgent rescuing work.

Staff from Zhongtong quickly reached the local sales agents and some customers dispatched a bus fleet of 123 units Zhongtong buses to the quick-stricken areas to transport rescue materials, rescue workers and those wounded in the quake.

Most of the buses participating in the rescue work are Zhongtong Navigator-LCK6129HB. With spacious luggage compartment,the bus is especially effective in transporting food and water to the quake-stricken areas. Equipped with Cummins engines, Voith hydraulic retarder, ZF steering box imported from abroad, ESP and state-of-art active and passive safety electric systems, the vehicle fully guarantees the smooth operation of rescuing work.
