Foton AUV Super Bus Makes its Debut at 2016 Beijing International Auto Exhibition

www.chinabuses.org: On April 25, under the theme of “Innovation and Change”, the 14th Beijing International Auto Exhibition officially kicked off at China International Exhibition Center. One of the highlights of this year’s event is Foton AUV’s super bus, BJ6122 inter-city bus. Representing the highest level of new energy bus manufacturing technologies, the bus, together with Foton internet super truck, are making huge splashes both in and out of the exhibition center.
Aiming at the medium- and long-distance inter-city passenger transportation, BJ6122 has made a series of improvements in terms of energy efficiency, reliability, safety, and intelligence. With fully electronically controlled safety equipment, control systems, and drivelines, the vehicle has already won the nickname as the super bus.

Built on the three core technologies, namely new energy driveline, internet of vehicles and auto driving technology, BJ6122 together with Foton super truck are developed with the goal with further cutting energy consumption, reducing emissions and realizing higher efficiency. Equipped with the latest version of Cummins ISG engine, BJ6122 has successfully cut down its body weight, which is less than 13.1 tons. It only consumes 17.2 liters of fuel every 100 km, 18% higher than its counterpart. With sealed integral body structure and upgraded independent suspension, the bus boasts larger turning angle, higher rigidity, and higher safety standards. A number of rolling-over and collision tests show that it can well guarantee the safety of both passengers and drivers.
Also worth mentioning is BJ6122’s maintenance-free wheel hubs, which enjoy 500,000 km repair service for free. In addition, its third generation e-AIR intelligence circulation system and CAN intelligence control can effectively improve the efficiency of engine of the vehicle. Various data could be easily shared and retrieved, which significantly enhances the overall reliability of the vehicle.
