www.chinabuses.org: On November 30, 2015, China's well renowned bus maker Golden Dragon exported its 50,000th bus to its customer in Israel. To mark such a significant day, a grand ceremony was held at Golden Dragon's production based located in Haicang District, Xiamen. In the meantime, the delivery of 137 units Golden Dragon Euro VI city buses to their Israeli customer was also held. So far, Golden Dragon is among the few bus makers in China which have seen their export volume reaching the benchmark of 50,000 units. Along with the implementation of "the Belt and Road" initiative, Golden Dragon is determined to push itself to a historical new height. As an indigenous bus brand, Golden Dragon has achieved great success in strengthening its overseas presence and marketing "Made-in-China" buses to a wider world in recent years.

Marking a significant breakthrough for both Golden Dragon and China's bus industry, the delivery of the 137 units Euro VI city buses have made two new records in history. One is that Golden Dragon becomes the first foreign bus brand introduced by Israeli's second largest carrier DAN Corporation. The other is that after the arrival of this batch of new Golden Dragon city buses, the brand this year will beat other high-end bus brands from Europe and become the top bus brand in Israeli bus market with a fleet of 500 unit buses.

In early this year, 177 units Euro VI buses were exported to Israel, marking a big step forward for the high-end domestic buses with Euro VI Emission Standards and making a huge splash across the industry. Thanks to their exceptionally outstanding performances in Israeli market, soon they have won the hearts of local customers and passengers. Quickly, Israeli customers placed another two extra orders. Golden Dragon's such high-profile exports to Israeli market also caught the attention of DAN Corporation, one of the country's largest transport operator. DAN started at 1945, with 40-plus years' experience in the passenger transportation market, DAN boasts a fleet of over 2,400 units various vehicles. In a series of cutthroat global biddings, the operator finally decides to tie the knots with Golden Dragon. Among the 200 units buses purchased by its subsidiary, DAN SOUTH, 137 units are Golden Dragon high-end XML6125CC low-access city buses with Euro VI Emission Standards.

Exports of China buses declined by 12% in January to October this year, however, self-owned brands representing by Golden Dragon have bucked the recession. According to the data, just in the first three quarters, sales of Golden Dragon buses in overseas market have reached 130 million USD dollars, up by nearly 20% on the same period of last year. With the 50,000th unit, Golden Dragon presented another powerful example of competitiveness of self-owned brands.
