24 November 2015
www.chinabuses.org: APEC 23rd Leaders Non-formal Summit was held in Manila, Philippines from November 18 to 19. Xi Jinping, Chinese President, Obama, US President, Medvedev, Russian Premier, and other key political leaders as well as leaders from business and industrial circle attended the summit. As the officially carriers designated by the organizing committee of APEC, 27 units Yutong luxury coaches were also dispatched to serve the high-profile event.
At the international media center which is located at the World Trade Center (WTC) in Manila, coaches were coming and going, carrying journalists and other media organizations for free. Seeing a Chinese journalist, Laili Sarbunna, the Managing Director of Philippines Genesis Transport & Transportation Co., Ltd. enthusiastically pointed at the logo on the coach, saying "Look! Yutong, from China!"
When mentioning the carrier, Mr. Sarbunna seemed to have a lot to say. According to him, the batch of coaches were imported from Yutong six months ago. They are especially purchased for APEC meeting. Mr. Sarbunna's company started importing buses and coaches from China in 2006. Currently, about 250 units Yutong buses and coaches are in smooth operation. "They are from China," while saying this, Mr. Sarbunna can hardly contain his excitement.
When asked about the quality of Yutong vehicles, Mr. Sarbunna immediately raised his thumbs, saying "They are very fashionable, very excellent and very competitive". He also revealed that almost all buses and coaches now working in Philippines are made in China.
The 27 units Yutong coaches are of three different varieties, including 10.5-meter ZK6107, 11-meter ZK6119, and 12-meter ZK6122. Traveling mainly from Manila International Airport to various hotels and the international media center, Yutong coaches are working 18 hours a day, from 6 am to the midnight.
As the organizing committee of APEC meeting wants all journalists from various media can enjoy their stay in Manila and send back the latest news back to their home country, it has set a host of stringent standards while choosing the carriers for the event. Apart from reliable performance, fashionable appearance, excellent brand image and wide public recognition, the bus should also provide a whole package of transportation solutions.
As the world's leading bus maker, Yutong easily stands out among a host of brands from Japan, South Korea, and Europe. It soon wins over the heart of the organizing committee of APEC meeting.
Soon after its arrival in Philippines year ago, Yutong sent a special technical team to conduct a thorough investigation of the local road conditions and bus market. In response to the high saline level in the air in Philippines, Yutong has made extra efforts to ensure its vehicles can easily prevent themselves from rusting effects, their bodies and chassis having all gone through high standard cathodic electrophoresis coating.
Yutong finished the production and delivery of all 27 coaches for APEC meeting three months ahead of the deadline. Together with its customers, it has come up with a comprehensive transportation and operation plan. To ensure the smooth operation of its coach fleet during the two-day event, the bus maker has also set up a backup team with 15 professional workers to provide necessary and emergent technical supports.
Since its entry into Philippines market in 2006, Yutong has always been adhering to a philosophy which gives first priority to its local customers and explores the market in a comprehensive and step-by-step manner. Currently, over 1,800 Yutong buses and coaches are working smoothly in the country. For the past five consecutive years, it has maintained its top position among all Chinese bus brands in terms of export volume to the Southeast Asian nation. Now, it has covered almost all areas in Philippines and has well established a visible presence in the local market.
At APEC Summit, Chinese President Xi Jinping also brought Chinese solution, which systematically elaborates on the principles and measures for the multilateral cooperation in Asia-Pacific Region. President Xi also introduced the new progress made by China's One-Road One-Belt Initiative calls for all nations to grasp the great opportunities opened up to the Asia-Pacific Region by the initiative. Along with the implementation of China's One-Road One-Belt Initiative, Yutong is blessed with plenty of business opportunities in its overseas market. In recent years, Yutong buses and coaches have made their way to 130-plus countries and regions across the globe, including France, UK, Cuba, Venezuela, Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong and Macau. Specifically, it has cultivated six regional markets, namely Latin America, the Middle East, the Asia-Pacific Region, Africa, Europe & US market, and Russian-speaking nations.
In the Yutong-Europe Tour which just concluded in October, Yutong successfully sent a clear message to the whole world that it is now fully confident and is determined to push China’s bus industry to a new height on the global stage.
