380 Zhongtong New Energy Buses Delivered to Jining for Operation

www.chinabuses.org: On July 31, a batch of 380 units Zhongtong electric buses arrived in Jining. According to the bus operator, Shandong Jining Public Transport Group, the company is now working against the time to build infrastructure, such as recharging posts for the new energy bus fleet. It is expected that these electric buses will put into official operation in earlier August.
Measuring 6.6 meters in length, all the buses are of the same type, Zhongtong LCK6668EVG. With a loading capacity of 33 passengers, the bus generate little noise while in operation and is easily maneuverable. What’s more, it boasts high safety standards and offers a host of passenger amenities. When fully recharged, it is able to drive 120 km continuously, which makes it an ideal vehicle for suburban public transport. Its zero emission standard hardly produce any impacts on the natural environment and in the meantime helps bus operators cut operating costs.
To ensure the smooth operation of these electric buses, Jining Public Transport Company purchased 78 sets of recharging posts and power transformation equipment. So far, they have been installed and can fully meet the requirements of electric bus operation. Along with the arrival of Zhongtong new energy bus fleet, some of Jining’s diesel-powered buses will soon be replaced to optimize the bus fleet of the local operator and improve the environmental friendliness of the local public transport.
