Zhongtong Double-source Electric Trolley Bus Highly Welcomed in Jinan

www.chinabuses.org: March 2, 2015 news: Recently, Zhongtong bus won the bid of Jinan double-source electric trolley bus project by a total of 60 units, which is the first order on the bus model for Zhongtong.
According to sources, the12-meter double-source electric trolley buses are powered by electric line network or self-configuration battery, which has good off-line running performance that improves operation flexibility. Modern trolley bus, with installation of power battery, can online real time charging, be off-line operation, getting rid of the contact line power supply network limit and install of the electric vehicle charging pile. In the case of the battery fully charged, the double-source 12-meter trolley bus can operation for more than 20 km with air conditioner on.
According to the Jinan Public Transport, Ji'nan is now operating 12-meter trolley buses to reduce annual consumption of standard coal by 22 tons and carbon emissions by 13 tons. In addition, the trolleybus operation noise is less than 70 decibels, far below the 84 DB noise standards, along with smooth acceleration and deceleration, greatly improve the passenger comfortability.
