www.chinabuses.org: According to South Korean's Kyung Hyang Daily News on Jul. 31, the nation's auto makers are becoming keenly aware of the China's bus brand Sunlong's rising popularity in the nation. As the nation has been tradtionally dominated by the local bus brands, the entry and increasing presence is now a cause for concern for the local companies.
Shanghai Sunlong Bus Co., Ltd. was set up in 2005. In May 2013, the company entered South Korea and appointed its own sales representative there, who is in charge of selling the company's vehicles. As of the end of Jun. this year, the total number of Sunlong buses in South Korea reached 200 units. In the later half of this year, the company plans to realize a sales volume of 400 units. Next year, it has set a goal of selling 1,500 Sunlong buses.
