33 Pure Electric Buses will Go Off-line in BYD Tianjin

www.chinabuses.org: The first 33 pure electric buses by BYD Tianjin went off-line on June 28th, which signifies the manufacture localization of the new energy large buses in Tianjin.

According to the plan, the first 33 pure buses will be delivered to Tianjin Public Transport. The new buses will be operated under the affiliated bus team 641 and the predicted annual CO2 emission will be reduced by 1,600 tons. Its superiority in electric vehicle core technologies such as battery and engine will bring a wider market of pure electric big buses manufactured in Tianjin. Wanghui, the vice president of BYD Tianjin, said that the production capacity would be expanded to meet the continuously increasing market demand in Tianjin.
According to the plan, various energy saving and new energy buses in Tianjin will reach 35,000, and the promoted new energy buses will amount to 5,000. Li Pengyue, the chief engineer of the municipal science and technology commission, pointed out that the production localization of the pure electric bus would further enhance the promotion of the new energy buses in Tianjin.
