Hengtong Bus Gained 93.75 Million RMB for New Energy Subsidies

www.chinabuses.org: On Jun. 4, it is learnt from Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Finance that Ministry of Finance has released Notice on the Distribution of the First Batch of Special Subsidies for Energy-saving Project. Chongqing was offered 196 million RMB subsidies for promoting new energy vehicles.
According to officials from the municipal bureau of finance, the subsidies will be distributed to enterprises which are involved in promoting new energy vehicles in Chongqing. From Jan. to Sept., three enterprises in Chongqing, including Hengtong, rolled out 452 units new energy vehicles. Hengtong played a major role by producing 375 units of green buses. Thus, it is entitled to gain 93.75 million RMB as subsidies from the government. Chongqing Wuzhoulong New Energy Vehicle Co., Ltd. sold 60 units of green vehicles and thus it will be offered 15 million RMB as subsidies. Chongqing Lifan Passenger Vehicle Co., Ltd. sold 17 units green vehicles and can gain 850,000 RMB in subsidies. Secretary of the President of Lifan Group that each unit of new energy vehicle can get 50,000 RMB as subsidies.
Tang Lijin, assistant to General Manager of Hengtong New Energy Vehicle Company, told our reporter that the central government attaches great importance to developing new energy vehicles. In 2014, the government will further intensify its financial support to manufacturers of eco-friendly vehicles. Each New energy vehicle with a driving distance of over 50 km can get 35,000 RMB as subsidies each year, the one with a driving distance of about 80-150 km can gain 50,000 RMB as subsidies each year, and the one with a driving distance of over 250 km can receive 60,000 RMB as subsidies each year.
