Foton AUV Holds a Conference on New Energy Bus & BRT Operating Mode

www.chinabuses.org: On May 28, a conference on new energy bus & BRT operating mode organized by Foton AUV, was held in Changsha, capital of Hunan Province. Guests from traffic departments, road transport and urban public transport in Hunan and Hubei as well as officials of Foton AUV came together and exchanged their experience on promoting clean and new energy vehicles.

At the conference, Fan Xianjun, Vice President of Foton Group and Deputy Manager of AUV Bus Branch pointed out, "As a leading brand in new energy bus sector, Foton AUV have been working hard for over ten years. In addition, we have developed advanced technologies for hybrid buses, fast recharging buses, buses with quick battery replacement, plug-in distance-enhancing buses. Also, Foton integrated transport solution has been successfully applied in a number of large-scale public transport operators."
After explaining the latest subsidizing policies on new energy vehicles made by the government and the operating modes of green buses in various places, Liu Guoqiang, Deputy Manager of Foton AUV Bus Branch, gave a detailed introduction of Foton AUV's hybrid buses, fast recharging buses, buses with quick battery replacement, plug-in distance-enhancing buses. "After years exploration, based on the local operating environment and our product line, we can provide customized new energy public transport solutions for any domestic cities", Mr. Liu added.
Jiang Songshun, General Manager of Yongzhou No. 1 Public Transport Corporation spoke highly of Foton AUV 10.5-meter hybrid bus, saying the bus model has become well recognized in the city. After hearing other representatives' speech, Wang Shuxiang, a bus driver role model from Shaoyang, expressed his hope that the local government could introduce Foton AUV to the city soon.
Chen Yongtai, Director of Changsha Passenger Transport Management Bureau revealed that currently the city has 13 public transport operators and 4,000-plus buses. In the coming one year, the city is planning to replace over 1,000 highly-polluting vehicles. Thus, it warmly welcomes Foton to bring new ideas for advancing the city's public transport.
After the conference, all attendees were invited to take a look at Foton AUV's 18-meter LNG city bus and its newly developed plug-in hybrid city bus. According to sources, Foton AUV plug-in hybrid buses have been put in operation in Changsha, winning praises from various departments and local residents. It is expected that in the coming few months more Foton AUV green buses will start providing convenient services to residents in Changsha.
