100 Golden Dragon HK-style Minibuses Enter Service in 9 Lines of Dongguan

Recently, good news from the Department of Transportation said that a new batch of 100 minibuses had arrived in Dongguan, expected to address the issue. According to Li Junfeng from Dongguan Road Transport Administration Bus Deparmen, this 100 minibuses will serve in nine lines, which can ensure that the departure interval is 11 minutes. Previously, the waiting time for these lines was 30-40 minutes. On the afternoon of March 18, the reporter with the transport department tried the new minibuses manufactured by the well-known domestic bus manufacturer - Xiamen Golden Dragon.

These minibuses are new energy LNG China IV buses, the emissions of which do not contain PM2.5. The advanced technologies prevent corrosion problems in the oceanic climate of Dongguan, greatly enhancing the body's anti-corrosion performance and durability. With the improvement of vehicle safety and reliability, 10-year anti-corrosion and beautiful appearance maintenance are achieved. The design that refers to Hong Kong minibus makes the bus more users friendly. The new LED electronic display installed in the front provides a clearer view at night. The step distance from the ground is 28cm, 7cm lower than the previous 35 cm, more convenient for the elderly and children. The driver's zone and passenger areas are separated with fence to avoid interference and enhance security.

In addition, the transport department staff said the group-style layout and special population structure of Dongguan make public transport the main tool for people's daily commute. With the development of the city, the government will invest more in public transportation to increase its capacity and optimize bus lines, as well as add more routes for large communities.
