Tests in the past always focused on the performance of different the vehicle, while this time it is more like a passenger or a purchaser focusing on the drive experience and cost benefit. And these aspects are the 10m double floor bus's main starting points for its model development.

Although there is currently no exact definition for double floor buses, but it has two distinctive features: the body height is between single and double-decker bus for a bigger luggage compartment volume; six more seats are added due to the lower design of its drive zone.

Do not underestimate these six seats, they improved 13% capacity for buses of the same body length. For example, a 10m one and a half bus can reach a 12m normal bus's capacity .

Although the test was short, the power matching of XML6012J58Y was impressive. The acceleration in high and medium speed is quite amazing, with II block speed limit at 40 km/h, and 60km/h speed by III block. Its acceleration time from 0 to 60 km/h is only about 16s.
This tested bus is equipped with 8.424L Yuchai YC6L310-42 engine, with the output power 218 kW, more than enough to drive this 10m 12,000 kg model. Its low speed and high torque contribute to the excellent acceleration performance.
