www.chinabuses.org: It's said Ankai pure-electric medium business bus program was selected into 2014 National Sci-technical Support Project. The new program will hoist the R&D ability of domestic pure-electric business buses and promote the fast development.

Ankai has been engaged in the R&D and commercialization of pure-electric medium business bus. From 2008 when Ankai launched BEST, the company started the R&D of its pure-electric version and used the new models in Dalian Davos and Shanghai World Expo.

Based on special electric chassis and lightweight body technology, the new bus shall perform as well as the traditional ones. The program will focus on integrated full-vehicle control system, high-energy and high-safety Li-ion battery, battery management system on the basis of PHM and high-speed permanent magnet synchronous motor system, etc. It's said the max speed will reach 100km/h and the bus is able to run ≥350km in one charge.

The selection of the pure-electric medium business bus into 2014 National Sci-technical Support Project shows the advantages of Ankai in this field and represents the cutting-edge development level of China's new energy business buses. Ankai program will promote the technology upgrade of the whole industry.
