Rise in Sale of Yuchai Engine in First Half Year

www.chinabuses.org: From Jan. to May, Yuchai sees a rise in both sales volume and revenue of engines, up by 2.44% and 15.7% respectively year on year. The sales volume remains No. 1 in this industry.
Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd witnesses a year-on-year growth rate of 10.77% with market share rising by 0.8% year on year and sales revenue up by 14.8% year on year. With respect to engines for trucks, a major breakthrough is made in 6M heavy engine with year-on-year growth of 105%; 6L heavy engine increases by 25% year on year. The gas engine proceeds with previous fast growth in sales, up by 217% year on year. Engines for buses maintain the top position in this industry, and the market share goes up steadily. In terms of general engines, the agricultural engines grow by 65% year on year, much higher than the average level. The growth for corn machine engines rises by 226%.
Driven by proactive fiscal policy and prudent money policy, the overall market maintains a good rising momentum. Yuchai, seizing the favorable market, conducts R&D of products on segmented markets with specific needs. When the whole nation is preparing to upgrade China Ⅳ emission standard for diesel engines and China Ⅴ standard for gas machine engines, Yuchai launches 5 China Ⅳ-compliant diesel engines and 7 China Ⅴ gas engines to meet for customers’ demands.
To further improve product quality, Yuchai conducts a strategy of lean manufacturing and operation by controlling quality from R&D to manufacturing process. Currently, the lean manufacturing of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd has come to the third stage, and the group company has successfully completed the target of the first stage and ready to come to the second stage.
2013 is the end year for Yuchai to achieve “to improve quality by 100% in three consecutive years”. Besides increasing personnel’s awareness on quality and enhancing monitoring and controlling of manufacturing process, Yuchai also organizes tests on quality management system for leaders to improve their executive force. In addition, Yuchao initiates a user appraisal system through which users could review and appraise part’s appearance so as to ensure the control on quality of engines.
