www.chinabuses.org: On May 19th, Higer held the foundation stone laying ceremony of its new-energy bus base in Suzhou Industrial Park. It's said the project, covering 430 Mu, is worthy of CNY 1.5 billion and annual productivity will reach 10000 new-energy buses.

Standing Committee Member of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee Jiang Hongkun and Suzhou Mayor Zhou Naixiang watched the planning map, debriefing General Manager of Higer Wu Wenwen on the R&D of new-energy buses.

These leaders took one pure-electric Higer bus, which was equipped with Li-ion battery. It's said the cost is CNY 60, 1/3 of that of regular diesel bus.

President of Higer Xu Zhenming said in the ceremony that the establishment of this base would break through the bottleneck of insufficient productivity, boosting the competitiveness of Higer in new-energy bus field.
