Changchai Co., Ltd. is not only a century-old national industrial enterprise, but also one of the earliest internal-combustion engine manufacturers in China. It is the first listed company in the national agricultural machinery industry and Changzhou city. Now, Changchai has both A and B shares. Its annual output can reach 1.2 million diesel engines. So far, it has manufactured more than 2,700 million diesel engines that ranked the NO.1 in the domestic market, and its products have been exported to 78 countries and areas,

Faced with the challenges of a new era, Changchai comes up with the strategic planning of development: take agricultural machinery as the basis, further strengthen the competitiveness in power industry and enter the auto industry.

Meanwhile it puts forward with a clear-cut managerial principle: maximize the sales profits and optimize the scale of business. With all these efforts, Changchai has entered upon a brand-new phase, gradually upgrading its product structure, making breakthroughs in entering the auto industry and enhancing the quality of assets and economic operation. It has thus realized an intensive development mode.

Since 2007, Changchai has launched a number of large programs including an investment of over hundreds million yuan into an advanced production base with an annual producing capacity of 300,000 Euro Ⅲ diesel engines, a workshop for processing and trial production, and the Changchai industry park program. It is aimed at building up a century-old enterprise into a group with a market value of 10 billion yuan. As a prestigious and stable enterprise, Changchai would face up to the challenges and look forward to a brighter future.
