Shenzhen to Add 1,000 Electric Buses into Operation in 2013

www.chinabuses.org: On May 12th, the first Bus Energy Saving Competition successfully ended. There were 31 bus operators and 14 new energy bus builders from 28 cities came to attend the competition. The main competition buses are pure electric buses, plug-in hybrid electric buses and hybrid buses.
It is learned that in 2013, there will be another 1,000 pure electric buses into use in Shenzhen City.It is estimated that some of the pure electric buses will be into operation in June 2013. Therefore, Shenzhen City will be the city who owns the most new energy buses in China.
According to the plan, by the end of 2015, the number of the new energy buses and electric taxi will be 7,000 units and 3,000 units in Shenzhen City. By that time, 50 percent of the large buses in Shenzhen will be new energy vehicles,
