Huanghai School Bus Equipped with Beidou Devices

On April 17th, 2013, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed by the three companies of Shuguang Automobile Group, CEIEC and Zhongxing Henghe in Dandong. The step marks Beidou navigation system to be used on Huanghai buses.
Beidou satellite navigation system is the fourth largest of its kind after GPS of US, GLONASS of Russia and Galileo of EU. It is a project heavily supported by the government because of its great meaning to national security. Also, Beidou can do more in the transporting industry of the country. The school bus navigation system that is co-developed by CEIEC and Zhongxing Henghe, relying on the support of Beidou system, is designed for school buses in China. The utilization of the product on Huanghai bus is the first time in the bus industry. As estimated, Beidou system is able to serve millions of school buses nationwide.
After Beidou system is installed on school buses, information such as bus condition, maintenance condition, route, time, driver information will be uploaded to database. And the bus could receive real time monitoring, which could work to prevent accidents. Also, the system could send messages to teachers and parents, so that they are aware of conditions of the bus when kids are in it.
