www.chinabuses.org: At the beginning of April 2013, it is learned that as one of the two bus builders who have the ability to manufacture super-capacitor buses in China, Yaxing Bus has successfully developed a new super-capacitor pure electric bus.

Yaxing started to develop the super-capacitor pure electric buses in 2011. And now the sample of it has been successfully made. Yaxing Bus is now under negotiation with the customers from Israel. After the business negotiation, Yaxing super-capacitor pure electric buses are expected to drive into Israel.

The Yaxing super-capacitor pure electric buses target for city bus market.  It is over 12 meters long, with the maximum capacity- 90 passengers loading . It takes onely 8 minutes to charge the super-capacitor pure electric buses, which could drive the buses to run as far as 18 km.

According to the Yan Chengjian, Chief Engineer of Yaxing super-capacitor pure electric buses, it is learned that the price of a super-capacitor pure electric bus is RMB 1.2 million. And the price of the common bus running in the Yangzhou City is RMB 0.4 million. The price difference is RMB 0.8 million between them.

In order to encourage the new energy vehicles development, the government introduced the policy, which is “Ten Cities Thousand New Energy Vehicles”. For Yaxing super-capacitor pure electric buses, the subsidies could be RMB 0.5 million when the bus operators in the ten cities purchase the super-capacitor buses. So the promotion of the super-capacitor pure electric buses is not so easy outside the ten cities.
