Zhongshan City to Subsidize ¥81.4 million to Public Transportation in 2013

www.chinabuses.org: On March 28th, Public Transportation Department in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province announced a table of government releasing the finance budget and the special fund in 2013.
From the table, it is seen that this year, the government will supply the subsidy to the IC Card holders who use the card to take the buses, the specified groups and the public bike service system. The total amount of the subsidy will be RMB 81.4 million.
According to the announcement, the subsidy for the IC Card is RMB 65 million. The residents who swipe the IC Card to take a bus could enjoy half of the ticket price. The policy is to encourage the citizens to take buses while going outside.
The subsidy for the specified group, which is the old, the disable, the students etc., is RMB 14 million. The subsidy for the public bike service system is RMB 2.4 million.
