Bus and Coach Development Summit Meeting Holds in Nanjing

www.chinabuses.org : On March 27th, 2013, the Bus and Coach Summit of China was held in Jinling Jiangbin Hotel, Nanjing. The summit attracted around 100 professionals, experts as well as journalists and reporters form more than 30 media to attend.
Li Shihao, expert of urban exportation, said : “ urban transportation features efficiency, intensiveness, energy-saving and environment protection. It is a must-do to give priority to the development of urban public transportation in order to curb the traffic stagnation, and promote the living standards of the masses as well as to enhance the service of the government. ” To meet the demand of the policy of the 18th party congress, the urbanization in China will be further intensified, which provides great opportunity for the development of urban public transportation. Stagnation along with pollution poses huge challenge for the development of urban traffic. Experts present at the summit reached the consensus that more priority shall be given to the development of urban public transportation.
New energy bus industry is a strategical emerging industry in China, and also serves as the solution for energy shortage and the development of auto industry. Over the past three years, through the influence of the piloting project, more than 50 cities participated in the drive of utilizing new energy buses. The technologies of hybrid, pure electric bus, fuel cell and many more have been tested and became more mature with a much bigger reliability.
