The company actively promote the innovation and application of low carbon technology, and established the evaluation system of ‘green products’, made a series of development plans and upgrading plans of ‘green products’, making sure triangle products are “low carbon, green, environmental-friendly and highly efficient”. 109 new products were launched in 2012, and the tire for commercial vehicles passed the certification of SMARTWAY, tire for passenger cars and commercial ehicles meet the standard of EU. Ice tire stand the severe test in Finland (within the arctic circle), with comprehensive quality reached the leading place, sold to north Europe, Japan, north America. Performance of extra large tire were further promoted and were put into mass sales.

Ding Yuhua said the company highly promote ’green tire’, ‘green manufacturing’, building a model featuring ‘low energy-consumption, low pollution, low emission’, following the standards of REACH of EU and those of the United States, also, participating in the formulating of industry standards, implementing tire industry policy of the government, closing down outdated production facilities, actively promoting setting up the new industry standard and national standard, becoming the initiator of ‘national green tire industry course’ of China Rubber Industry Association.

Weihai huamao rubber science and technological branch company is the third manufacturing base of Triangle Group, being the demonstrative base of green manufacturing, the company utilizes solar energy for generating, heating, lighting, providing clean energy, using the technology of copious cooling, saving 45% of energy for every ton of nitrogen produced; adopting new technique of rubber refining, saving 10.7% of energy for every ton of rubber. As calculated, the average energy consumption of huamao base is 22.3% lower than that of the Triangle Group as a whole, and 26.2% lower than that of the industry.
