200 Gas-Fuelled Sunlong Buses to Run in Guangzhou
12 March 2013
www.chinabuses.org :Facing severe challenges of resources and environment, it is important for the bus and coach industry in China to develop environmental-friendly and by the means of new resources. As the biggest passenger transporter in Guangzhou, Jumbo Bus gradually changed the original LPG buses, which serves as an important project in the campaign of updating and upgrading of public transportation facilities in Guangzhou. Jumbo Bus and Baima Bus, both of which are members of Jumbo bus Group Holdings Limited, has respectively purchased LNG bus from Sunlong Bus, with models being SLK6115、SLK6753、SLK6935. The accumulated purchase quantity has well passed 200. This clearly shows Jumbo Bus’ appreciation and recognition for the advanced gas technology and high quality of Sunlong Bus.
The bus company of Jumbo Group operates bus lines covering major roads in Guangzhou. The company, guided by the economic development plan of ‘Go Eastward’, plays an important role of linking the eastern part of the city and the central area, which promotes the development of the Economic and Technological Development District of Guangzhou and Huangpu District. As reported, being one of the leading companies in changing LNG bus in Guangzhou, Jumbo Bus expects to expend its LNG bus to a number of 400 before April this year. The two LNG buses that bought last year was mainly for preparation and training. As early as April last year, there were intentions of changing LNG bus in Guangzhou, but was afterwards delayed, thanks to the stagnation of construction of two LNG bus lines in Fanyu. Accompanied by the series of purchase of LNG buses by Jumbo Bus, which will be used to replace diesel buses, plus the construction of LNG charging stations, Guangzhou is stepping into an era of green buses.
To meet the requirement for gas-fuelled bus, Sunlong Bus started the research of new-energy and emission-reduction bus (fuelled by clean energies of CNG, LNG, LPG and etc.) in 2006, cooperating closely with universities and institutes in Shanghai in all aspects. To date, Sunlong already exported self-developed gas-fuelled buses in batches to Southeast Asia, more than 4000 units alone to Thailand; domestically, to many places, including Shenzhen, Foshan, Gaoming, Putian, Shandong, Dalian, Bazhou, Tianjin, Chaozhou. The gas-fuelled buses of Sunlong enjoys favor of customers thanks to the economy, safety and reliability.
We believe that, as the technologies of emission-reduction and new energy bus get more and more mature, as well as more supportive policies from government, the market will keep developing with a high speed, and Sunlong Bus, in tune with the times, will perfect itself accordingly, and take up the responsibility in curbing the worsening environment and saving energy.
