Chongqing Fast-charging Research Center Settled in Hengtong EBPS Company

www.chinabuses.org: News from Hengtong Electric Bus Power System Co., Ltd. said that Chongqing Science & Technology Committee decided to settle Chongqing Fast-charging E-bus Engineering Technology Research Center in the company.
The R&D team is jointly formed by Hengtong Electric Bus Power System Company, Microvast Power Systems (Huzhou) Company, Tsinghua University and Chongqing University of Post and Telecommunications.
This center is built to solve the problems of designing, developing and producing e-bus, battery, motor, electromechanical coupling system and multi-energy system through innovation, as well as the bottleneck problems of reliability, cost and efficiency of the buses.
It's said the center is planning to put 500 fast-charging buses into service in 2013-2014 and cooperate with State Grid to build 10 EV charging stations. Theses electric buses will help reduce the air pollution in Chongqing City.
