Ankai Continues Progress in New-energy Bus Development

www.chinabuses.org: News from Hefei Public Transport Group on February 13th said continuous mileage of Ankai pure-electric city bus reached over 0.16 million kilometers and using over 600 pure-electric city buses in Hefei City reduced 4.5 million liters of diesel consumption and 12365 tons of CO2 emission.


In 26 pilot cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian, Urumqi, Hangzhou, Taiyuan, Chengdu and Kunming, etc., Ankai put over 1000 pure-electric city buses into service, accounting for 70% of the total.


Back to 2003, Ankai cooperated with Beijing Institute of Technology to produce 20 pure-electric city buses used in Beijing Route 121, which became the first commercial demo operation new-energy transit route.


In 2005, Ankai developed the second-generation pure-electric city bus with NIMH battery and delivered three sample buses to Zhuzhou City.


In 2007, Ankai developed the third-generation pure-electric city bus with LFP battery and super capacitor. Ankai made a breakthrough in complete vehicle system control technology.


In 2010, Ankai launched the fourth-generation pure-electric city bus with proprietary intellectual property rights of complete vehicle system control.


Chairman of Ankai Wang, Jiang'an said: "In the process of new-energy development, the team makes great contributions, especially in the development of technology and products."
