LIFAN to Set Up Automobile Factory in Ethiopia

www.chinabuses.org: "Ward's Auto" reported LIFAN AUTO planned to set up one more automobile factory in Ethiopia, doubling the productivity.
Deputy General Manager of LIFAN-Ethiopia Roger Tian said local demands for LIFAN automobiles increased fast, annual growth rate reaching 30% in the past three years. The company planned to set up another factory in 2013 to produce LIFAN 520, LIFAN 620, LIFAN 320 and FENGSHUN minibus, and even X60.
LIFAN started selling vehicles in Ethiopia from 2007 by cooperating with local assembling enterprise Holland Car. In 2009, they operated independently. It's said LIFAN has invested a total of USD 10 million in Ethiopia and will invest another USD 30 million. Besides new factory, there will be more 4S stores and after-sale service stations.
