Higer Gas-electric Hybrid Buses Come into Service

www.chinabuses.org: On October 31st, over 10 Higer city buses were parked in Suzhou High-tech Zone, which were gas-electric hybrid buses waiting for operation.
As the new member of new-energy city buses, gas-electric hybrid bus is produced based on diesel-electric hybrid one, replacing diesel engine with LNG engine. Compared with traditional buses, the new one is different in fuel, with high-voltage drive and super capacitor bank and without gearbox, and advantageous in automatic clutch, low-emission, low-noise and low fuel cost, etc.
The first 13 Higer gas-electric hybrid city buses would be used in Route 333. It's said that there have been over 500 Higer LNG, pure-electric and hybrid buses used in Suzhou City. Higer new-energy buses will make greater contributions to Suzhou.
