Nanjing Golden Dragon Obtains First Non-local Pure-electric Bus Order

www.chinabuses.org: Recently, Nanjing Golden Dragon Bus Company has signed the supply agreement of 100 pure-electric tourist buses with Nantong City, which is the first non-local order following that the company delivered 10 pure-electric city buses to Nanjing Dongshan Public Transport Company.
As scheduled, the 100 pure-electric tourist buses must be manufactured and delivered by January 2013. The person in charge of the company said: "We wish to make a breakthrough in export next." Last year, Nanjing Golden Dragon invested millions to start new-energy vehicle project, including city buses and has produced four models of hybrid and pure-electric buses.
"The company plans to invest CNY 10 billion to build domestic largest new-energy vehicle R&D base in Nanjing within five years." He said. Currently, Nanjing Golden Dragon has two bases in Sushui and Jiangning with annual production of 800-1000 units. The company is building a new plant in Sushui for one more production line and another 1500 pure-electric buses will be produced per year.
