Exported Sales Data of China Buses

www.chinabuses.org: According to China Highway & Transportation Society Bus Branch collected data, in Jan.-June 2012, China exported 14,261 units of bus & coach products, which increased by 12.90 percent compared to Jan.-June 2011. The total exported amount were 4.994 billion Yuan, increasing by 6.39 percent compared to Jan.-June 2011. Overseas market made a great contribution to China bus manufacturers in the depressed market this year. Among the fifty bus builders, there were in all 111,097 units of bus & coach products sold, which increased by 6.39 percent compared to Jan.-June 2011.
The China bus are ready to be shipped to overseas.
The overall exported performance is not so bad in China bus industry, but for each bus builders, there shows different growths in the overseas markets.
Yutong sold a total of 2,440 buses over the six month period, while its buses sales amount reached 1.6 billion yuan, a full 176.36 percent more than last year. The order of shipping 1,216 units of Yutong Bus to Venezuela, that is the biggest order in China, with the nearly 1.49 billion Yuan sales amount.
News from Higer Bus shows that unit price grows from CNY450 thousand last year to CNY570 thousand this year. In Jan.-June 2012, 1,826 Higer buses were exported, worthy of CNY0.902 billion.
King Long CSO Xie, Weiguo told the reporter that the export goal in 2012 was RMB 2.4 billion Yuan and in the first half of the year, export reached RMB 0.8 billion Yuan, which means there’d still be a long and tough way to go.

Xie, Weiguo admitted that he and the whole sales team were under big pressure which came from two aspects. One is Euro crisis and sluggish recovery of American economy, the other is the interior one that a new-round strategy adjustment is essential. Nevertheless, King Long did a great job in European market, from RMB 0.7 billion Yuan of export in 2007 to RMB 2 billion Yuan in 2011.
Golden Dragon exported 2,202 units of bus & coach products, increasing by 175.94 percent. Though the sales grows fast, but there are also a long way to go to catch the other leading bus builders.
Ankai sold a total of 844 buses over the six month period, increasing 162.11 percent more than last year. The 20 units of Ankai double-decker tourist buses successfully served the local citizens and the tourist during the London Olympic Game.
