Four King Long buses-12m school bus XMQ6126K, 12m city bus XMQ6122R, 18m articulated bus XMQ6180GK and 10m XMQ6102K, were made out of stainless steel framework. XMQ6122R and XMQ6180GK were improved according to Australian habits and requirements.

King Long was the third enterprise to offer articulated buses to Australia, besides local manufacturers Volgren and CustomeCoach. Australian operator SKYBUS imported seven XMQ6180GK from 2009 for Melbourne Airport-City Center route.

Host by BUSVIC (Bus Association Victoria) yearly, Australian Bus Expo was local most influential bus industry expo and insiders' interactive platform.
