Huge Quantity of Sleeper Buses to Exit Out of Market

www.chinabuses.org：It's reported that sleeper buses will exit out of the market in five years because of potential safety hazard and high accident rate, etc. There are nearly 30 thousand sleeper buses in operation at the moment, which are the only transportation means in some areas.
According to the announcement of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Ministry of Public Security, MIIT suspended the application of new sleeper buses. From March 1st, 2012, bus manufacturers stopped producing and selling sleeper buses and Traffic Management Departments suspended the registration.
Marketing Manager of Golden Dragon Company Mr. Pang said the company had stopped producing sleeper buses and replaced them with some luxury seat buses. While Hubei Transportation Group had to purchase luxury seat buses, inside which the seats could be laid down for rest and raised the ticket price.
