www.chinabuses.org: In June 2012, the opening ceremony of Jiayuguan Public Transportation Limited as well as its new buses' starting operation ceremony were held in Jiayuguan City, Gansu Province.  The company purchased fifteen units of new energy bus products, among which were five units of hybrid bus products.

In recent years, in Jiayuguan City, due to the uncompleted bus lines and the poor management & operation of the city buses, it is very inconvenient for the residents going out. In order to improve such situation, the Public Transportation company was set up by the city government and the local company to build more convenient public transportation system for the public.
