Shenzhen Ranks No. 1 in NEV Vehicle Application

www.chinabuses.org: Shenzhen takes the first place in new energy vehicle parc in the country by 3,035 units, reported Shenzhen Special Zone Daily.
Of the total, 1,771 are hybrid buses, 253 electric buses, 26 electric mini buses, 62 fuel-cell vehicles, 300 electric taxis and the remaining are privately-owned EVs.
Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission said the region will expand NEV adoption this year by putting additional 1,000 new energy buses and 500 electric taxis on road in 2012. Currently Shenzhen has approximately 600 privately-owned NEVs, and 90 percent of them are plug-in hybrid EV.
So far the city has 57 bus charging stations, five public charging stations, and 2,400 charging poles scattered among residential areas, public parking lots and office areas.
