Sales of Hybrid Buses Increase

www.chinabuses.org：In April 2012, Energy-saving and New-energy Automotive Industry Development Plan (2012-2020) was approved. The Plan says: "Pure-electric drive is the major strategic orientation of automotive industry transformation. To speed up the development of new-energy automotive industry, especially pure-electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles."
Thanks to the Plan, sales of hybrid buses in 2012 increased. King Long sold 200-300 hybrid buses in 2012, so did Higer and Golden Dragon.
Deputy General Manager of Beiqi Foton AUV Bus Company Liu Guoqiang said Foton new-energy buses was expected to be sold 1,000-1,200 units in 2012, including 400 pure-electric buses and 600-800 hybrid buses.
