It's China's first front impact test for monocoque bus, the result of which proved the reliability of monocoque body technology and Ankai monocoque bus became the benchmark of China buses.

In early 90s, Ankai introduced Setra S215HD from Germany and started China's monocoque bus. Nowadays, China's monocoque buses, covering coaches, tourist buses, city buses and new-energy buses, etc, have been used in European market.

Since the cooperation with the German bus company on introducing Setra which means monocoque in German, Ankai flourished in its own monocoque buses, some of which were even exported to European market. In 2000, Ankai applied monocoque technology to city buses and initiated the era of monocoque city buses. Nowadays, there are monocoque new-energy buses produced by Ankai.
