Exposure Draft on School Buses Released

www.chinabuses.org：In early May, "National Standard on Special School Bus Safety" approved by General Administration of Quality Supervision and Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China came into effect. Meanwhile, Admittance Management Regulation on Special School Bus Manufacturers and Products (Exposure Draft) was released, expected to improve the disorder of current market.
Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the draft to set the threshold for school bus manufacturers. According to the regulation, school buses are divided into two types: one is light school bus, over seven seats from between five meters and six meters; the other is large-and-medium school bus, over seven seats between six meters and twelve meters.
33 standards are involved in the regulation, for example school bus manufacturers can't be warned or punished for quality or safety problems within three years; production and sales were no less than 3000 units, etc.
According to the latest standard, most of the 98 manufacturers are capable to produce school buses.
