Jiangxi to build seven EV charging stations

www.chinabuses.org: On February 24th 2012, the first electric vehicle charging and battery swapping station in Jiangxi Province was officially start to build. The EV charging stations can meet 30 units of electric buses charging needs. It is one of the seven charging stations that are planned to be built in Jiangxi Province in 2012.
The station, with an estimated investment of ¥40 million ($6.3 million), will be installed with two large, four middle-sized and two small chargers together with four AC charging poles.
Electric vehicle as a strategic new industry, has become great means for a low carbon economy development, the energy conservation and emission reduction policy in China. Now in many cities, they are to speed up the popularization electric vehicle. For example, Beijing City plans to promote new energy 30,000 vehicles by the end of this year; Hangzhou city has been built in 10 sets of filling power station and two sets of standardization charging piles, which is to plan to promote the electric vehicle 20,000 units by the end of this year.
