In January 2012, 56 engine manufacturers listed in CAAM produced 1.2079 million engines and sold 1.1851 million engines, decreasing 28.99% and 31.50% respectively over January 2011, while decreasing 20.01% and 21.20% over December 2011.

In January, 23 diesel engine manufacturers listed in CAAM produced 240.7 thousand and sold 203.6 thousand, decreasing 17.39% and 31.93% over December 2011, while decreasing 42.52% and 49.65% over January 2011.
