As a super large enterprise, FAW started to develop new-energy buses from 2001 and has now made self-owned hybrid buses based on hybrid powertrain, electronic controlled engine system and AMT system with independent intellectual property rights.

In accordance with passionate and practical design elements of FAW commercial vehicles, FAW hybrid buses are streamlined in appearance and equipped with double-layer front windows. Self-designed AMT automatic gearbox, controlled by AMT ECU, makes gear shift smooth.

In the 10th CTIB (Tianjin), 12-meter hybrid city bus CA6120URH1(2) won New-energy Bus Gold Award and in the 11th BAAV Asian Expo, FAW 12-meter hybrid city bus won the theme award of 2011 ACW-New-energy Award.
