Except for 1000 units used in Chongqing, America would be the first main market.

WU, Yang told the reporter that Europe and America would be the main markets of the company, for in America there were 650 thousand school buses which consumed much oil and 140 thousand shuttle buses were required in American airports. Fast-charging electric buses shall be competitive in America.

It’s known that in April 2011, 6 units of fast-charging pure-electric buses were used in Yubei Airport. These buses ran 30km per charge, 8 times every day. The batteries are working well after over 1000-time charging.

Responsible person said it took a kilowatt hour for one city bus to run 1km, two kilowatt hour in hot summer. The cost of producing a fast-charging pure-electric bus is 1.6 million Yuan, a regular bus o.5 million Yuan, while subsidy for a new-energy bus is o.5 million Yuan.

Operating cost of electric buses is lower than that of diesel buses and gas buses. 100 thousand m3 of natural gas can be saved if 1000 units of electric buses are used per day.
