BYD Pure-electric Buses to Serve Los Angeles Airport

www.chinabuses.org: World’s largest airport car rental company Hertz announced to use BYD pure-electric buses to serve Los Angeles International Airport, which was the first time to use pure-electric buses. It was to test BYD pure-electric buses as well.
President and CEO of Hertz Company Mark P. Frissora said: “Hertz is implementing its global pure-electric buses plan, such as bring pure-electric buses into fleets and testing potential pure-electric buses of other market. Our mission is to provide the best transport solution for our customers, including buses serving the airport. We are the first car rental company to use pure-electric buses. ”
BYD pure-electric bus is able to run over 250km per charge and low floor, large space and acoustic insulation shall make passengers more comfortable. At present, these buses are being tested. Operating cost of pure-electric bus is lower than traditional one. It may reduce 320kg CO2 per day and save 76 dollars for Hertz.
