Guangdong New Energy Bus Plant of Foton Motor formally Works

www.chinabuses.org: Recently, it is revealed from the executives of Beiqi Foton Motor Co. Ltd. that its plant of new energy buses formally put into service in Guangdong since 28th September, which refers to the investment of more than 1.1 billion Yuan and the manufacturing of new energy buses such as hybrid power and electric buses and coaches. Its headquarters located in Beijing are the center of planning, management, research & development and marketing, related to the output of high-end trucks, buses and cars.
In 2010, Foton produced 683000 units motor vehicles, year-on-year growth of 13.4%. According to Zhao Jingguang, deputy secretary of Party Committee of Foton, Foton Motor expects to become the world leading automobile producer with ten years as its “2020 Strategy”. Also, the project of the establishing of 50-50 joint venture with Daimler has obtained the approval from Ministry of Commerce.
