Mayor Ye of Xiamen City Visits Golden Dragon New Energy Buses

www.chinabuses.org: During the period of the twelfth five-year plan (2011-2015), new energy industry is one the key points for the national energy strategy, especially the new industries of strategic importance such as new energy automobiles. In the afternoon 16th September, Ye Chonggeng, vice mayor of Xiamen City visited Xiamen Golden Dragon Bus Co., Ltd. (hereafter Golden Dragon Bus for short) to learn about the development of new energy automobiles with related leaders.

Mayor Ye visited the plants of bus chassis and assembly and 12-meter electric and hybrid power buses in Hai Cang production base. When riding the hybrid power bus, he highly appraised it for its good power and light noise during the operation, also, learnt about the technical development strategy, technology advancement and innovation of Golden Dragon new energy buses.
Golden Dragon hybrid power bus
It is known that since 2002, Golden Dragon Bus has developed hybrid power buses and continuously improved the products: the first generation of fuel-electric hybrid power buses with lead acid cells in 2005, the third generation of hybrid power buses with super-capacitors in 2007, the fourth generation in 2010, having mastered several key technologies referring to controllers, matching and optimization as well as accumulated technical reserve related to natural gas buses and electric buses. At present, its hybrid power buses have been operated in the cities such as Hangzhou, Kunming, Tianjin, Beijing, Nantong, Xiamen, Ningbo and Dalian and exported to overseas markets. The market inventory has reached more than 700 units. In particular, 12-meter hybrid power won the awards in various domestic and international competitions. Currently, Golden Dragon Bus is dedicated to the development of the key technologies of electric light buses.
