Suzhou Plant of Bosch Chassis Control System Opens

www.chinabuses.org: On September 8th, 2011, Suzhou plant of Bosch chassis control system opened. This plant with the investment of RMB 200 million Yuan was used for the production of Bosch chassis control system, including ABS, ESP and sensors, to promote the sustainable development of Bosch in China market.

Located in Suzhou industrial park, new plant covers 29000 m2, as twice as that of the original plant. New plant was adjacent to technology center and vehicle testing road, so all the functions of business division are gathered in the same site. Except for the main products, new plant will be used as logistics center for steering angle speed sensor, SRS ECU and SRS sensors etc. In China, Bosch offers products to all the local complete vehicle manufacturers and many international manufacturers.

“China is strategically important to Bosch and plays an increasingly important role in business growth.” President of Bosch chassis control system Werner Struth said, “The opening of new plant shows our growing in China and it will help us satisfy the requirements of China market and offer more services to China automotive industry.”
Production Line of Suzhou Plant
As the leader of vehicle safety technology, Bosch is devoting itself to meeting the needs of the market. For better service to China market, Bosch adopted the strategy of “In China, For China” and invested many projects from 2002, including Suzhou technology center in 2005, vehicle testing road in 2006, Bosch (Hulun Buir) vehicle testing technology center in Yakeshi City in 2008 and Bosch (East Sea) vehicle testing technology center in Lianyungang in 2010. New investment as Suzhou plant is in China, it will improve the production capacity of Bosch.
At the meantime, Bosch also pays attention to environmental protection of China. Bosch adopted a series of environmental protection theories during the construction of Suzhou plant, such as GSHP system, solar energy and outside window-blinds. All the efforts are made to help local community with energy-saving and emission-reduction.
