www.chinabuses.org: Till now, “Higer Intelligence Assistance Powered by Science &Technology” was held in 18 cities since 25th March 2011, which was hosted by Ministry of Transport, China Academy of Transportation Science, undertaken by China Road Transport Association in the background of energy-saving and emission-reducing. This activity has started in Xi’an on 15th August.



At the meeting, the engineers from Higer Bus Company Limited (Higer Bus for short) explained for bus operators and drivers about the key points of energy-saving. The related principal revealed that “As of 6th August, there have been more than 3000 representatives from local transport authorities and bus operators participating into such activities.” It is known that more than 1500 bus operators have applied Higer G-BOS operation systems.


On 27 July 2010, Higer Bus launched G-BOS (G represents 3G:GPS、GIS、GPRS and BOS is "bus operation system" for short). The system integrates the functions of GPS, driving recorder, fuel consumption recorder, maintenance management, remote breakdown analysis and stitches matching. Till now, Higer Bus G-BOS systems have been installed in more than 8000 buses and coaches, promoting the concept of “car networking”. Many China bus builders also launched the similar systems, aiming at the great improvement of intellectualization and energy-saving.

Higer G-BOS systems are widely confirmed by the customers for the creative functions of analysis of drivers' behaviors as well as stitching matching in China. Li Cheng from Wei Nan Automobile Transport Group introduced the operation conditions of G-BOS system and the related experience. He showed that the operation of G-BOS system effectively realized real-time monitoring of vehicles and helped them to solve the problem of the idling for a long time and high fuel consumption.


Zhang Jixiao, chairman and deputy general manager of Yulin Hengtai Auto Transport Group mentioned that G-BOS system is a the effective tool for the bus operators to get precise operation and low-cost management through colleting data of drivers' behaviors as well as the equipments situations such as snap-acceleration, rapid deceleration, engine overspeed and constant driving for too long time to increase safety; offering specific operation data & record as the evidence to control fuel consumption. With the application of G-BOS, the fuel consumption of the same one bus reduced 3.5 liters than before, he took an example.
