First Neoplans for Ferris Holidays
23 August 2011
www.chinabuses.org: Ferris Holidays of Nantgawr, Cardiff, has taken delivery of two new three-axle Neoplan Tourliners. They are the first Neoplans in the Ferris fleet, and were selected in part because of EGR engine technology, which does not require the use of AdBlue. “Initial acceptance from drivers and passengers has been very positive,” says Ray Ferris, “and the no-AdBlue operation is a definite benefit.”
Ferris Holidays’ Tourliners are powered by MAN D26 480bhp EEV engines with 12-speed MAN TipMatic gearboxes with intarders. They have 61 Kiel Avance reclining seats, a centre sunken toilet and a water boiler for hot drinks. Other equipment includes an entertainment system with radio, multi-CD, DVD, iPod and two monitors.
